About Us – DCG Booster Club

The DCG Booster Club’s mission is to promote and foster interest in and good will toward all athletic activities affiliated with the Dallas Center-Grimes Community School District.

If you are interested in learning more about the Booster Club, please check out our by-laws and a description of what we do below:

The DCG Athletic Booster Club has raised hundreds of thousands of dollars since its inception and routinely allocates over $100,000 back to its programs each year supporting 7th through 12th grade athletics programs including uniforms, scholarships, camps, clinics, equipment, and support for participation in state tournaments. Here are some examples of things the DCG Booster Club has provided to the DCG Athletic Programs:

  • Uniforms for High School and Middle School Sports
  • New Shot put surface at the track
  • Cheerleading Warm-ups
  • MS Cheerleading uniforms
  • New floor in the weight room
  • Wall design in the wrestling room
  • Banners in Meadows Gym
  • Scorers Tables and Upgraded Scoreboard
  • Post Season Tournament Expenses
  • Team Camps
  • Coaching Clinics
  • Scholarships
  • HUDL membership
  • Track Timing System

The Booster Club raises funds to support both boys’ and girls’ teams from 7th grade through 12th grade in multiple ways. The primary revenue sources are Memberships and Sponsorships, Concessions, Major Fundraisers and Apparel Sales.

Memberships and Sponsorships
Every August we begin our membership drive, including those in the DCG community and local businesses. Many of these members have supported DCG Athletics for over 10 years!

Concessions
While we raise quite a bit of funds through memberships and sponsorships, most of our funds are raised through running the concession stands at our home athletic events. That’s right, all those hotdogs, brats, popcorn and sodas you enjoy while watching a game help support our athletic programs. Unfortunately, these concession stands don’t run themselves. At every event, parents of our athletes are serving you, and behind the scenes there is a Booster Club member who has either gone shopping, ordered products, come in early to set up the stand or who is overseeing the night’s activities.

Apparel Sales
With the new district rebranding that has taken place, apparel sales have been popular with everyone as fans and students want to get the new gear supporting our sports teams.

Please consider becoming a Booster Club member.

Feel free to join us during one of our regular meetings held the 1st Wednesday of every month at 6pm to see how you can help out or give any of the members a call or an email to learn more. For more information: Contact Us
